Preheat oven to 375.
In one bowl, sift flour, baking soda, and salt together.
In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well in between. Add mashed bananas and mix well.
Gradually add the dry ingredients and blend well. If you're adding nuts, fold them in.
Grease 12 muffin tins or a loaf pan and pour the batter in.
Bake 20 minutes or longer, until the top is slightly browned.
